That was during middle 1950. Infrastuctures was basic. The road leading out of Malim Nawar was one. only one. Cars?, you can count easily. Count your fingers but only one hand.
Basically middle class Malaysian own that much of cars in one family today. Till now I remember my uncle visits my mother using car. For that visit my head swells. Because of that car. I still remember the ' Morris Minor' the British car it looks so beautiful at those time.
Yes the majority use bicycles. Hence no road leading to my house. Only bicycle tracks. Of course it was enough at those time to carry any body to Kampar town and nearby village like Kota Bharu and Kuala Dipang. But most of us- like today- every body were happy and some not so happy. Money was no problem because every body had very little money. So nobody worry about money.
We dont have to worry about overweight. Most of us were slim. That was Malim Nawar a small town with tin mines ponds. Each ponds equals to 10 football fields.
My Kampong now was mined so that now it become a very small village with 14 houses only.
